  • To make God's Good News known to children, young people and families, and
  • To encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and prayer

So that they may

  • Come to personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ,
  • Grow in Christian maturity, and
  • Become both committed church members and servants of a world in need.

SU pursues these aims through a variety of specialist ministries around the world in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ and in reliance on the Holy Spirit.

The mission statement of SUWA is to 'introduce young Australians to Jesus, the Bible and the local church'.

Introduce young Australians to Jesus

All SU ministries are unashamedly evangelistic in nature. Our intention is to introduce participants to Jesus in such a way, that with respect to their age and background, He will have a lasting and deep impact on their lives. We aim to help participants move towards Jesus in their journey, whether they are already followers of God, or not.

Introduce young Australians to the Bible

SU believes that the Word of God is our highest authority for faith and life, and so aim to open the Bible with participants in life-changing ways. SU programs aim to promote thoughtful Bible interaction.

Introduce young Australians to the local Church

SU is an interdenominational movement that seeks to work with local churches. We aim to represent all denominations and do not exclude anyone on the basis of denomination. We aim to move all participants on to become actively involved in local churches and faith communities.
